“THE CAPTAINS”
The Captains Baseball Program is thrilled to announce their 6th annual tryouts for the 2027 Spring/Summer Baseball Season! This program was developed by Miami Marlins Minor League and Major League Professional Baseball Director of Outfield, Nathan Mikolas. Nate played for the New York Yankees for 5 seasons and now coaches for the Miami Marlins Organization. For the last 9 years, Coach Nate has served the Marlins as a hitting coach, defensive coach, base running coach, outfield coordinator, and currently serves as the Director of Outfield where he works with both major and minor league players.
The mission of the Captains is to develop youth players and provide them with professional training. Our coaching staff will develop quality young people that serve as leaders in our community while teaching the fundamentals of the game and having fun doing so! There will be an emphasis on educating players on the proper hitting mechanics/approaches, team fundamentals, proper fielding techniques, base-running, bunting, pitching, and overall knowledge of the game.

*** There will be NO Accommodations Made for Separate Try Out Dates***
*** All Players are Required to Try Out/All players Must be Registered to Try Out ***
***Players Will Only Attend ONE Try Out Date, Please Only Select ONE Tryout Date***

- Paid Head Coach and Their Travel Expenses
- Facility costs (Indoor and Outdoor) *Will begin indoor practices in November and go through the month of April. Indoor practices will consist of 2x per week
- 1x/week Winter Total Body Lifts included & Additional Optional off-season lifting package with flexible days for lifts for separate cost.
- Weekly off-season Competitions
- Driveline Sequencing & Proper Arm Patterning Development
- Access to the Lakefront Dugout Facility seasonally at no additional cost with a membership
- Insurance
- Team Equipment
13u & 14u : $2,630

- Facility costs (Indoor and Outdoor) *Will begin indoor practices in November and go through the 2nd week of March due to High School Seasons beginning. Indoor practices will consist of 2x per week
- 1x/week Winter Total Body Lifts included & Additional Optional off-season lifting package with flexible days for lifts for separate cost.
- Weekly off-season Competitions
- Driveline Sequencing & Proper Arm Patterning Development
- Access to the Lakefront Dugout Facility seasonally at no additional cost with a membership

- *NO REFUNDS. There are NO REFUNDS for tryouts OR any team fee payments at any time for any reason.
- *Our best intention is to keep all tournaments within 2 hours or less.
*For newcomers, a team uniform package will be sold separately. For returning Captains players, the same team uniform from the 2026 season will be reused for the 2027 season. If you are a returning player and in need of additional gear, all team gear will be sold separately
