“THE CAPTAINS”

The Captains Softball Program is thrilled to launch their second annual tryouts for the 2026 Spring/Summer Softball Season!

This program is lead and overseen by Miami Marlins Minor League and Major League Professional Baseball Director of Outfield, Nathan Mikolas. Nate played for the New York Yankees for 5 seasons and now coaches for the Miami Marlins Organization. For the last 8 years, Coach Nate has served the Marlins as a hitting coach, defensive coach, base running coach, lower level outfield coordinator, and currently serves as the Director of Outfield.

The mission of the Captains is to develop youth players and provide them with professional training. We will develop quality young people that serve as leaders in our community while teaching the fundamentals of the game and having fun doing so! There will be an emphasis on educating players on the proper hitting mechanics/approaches, team fundamentals, proper fielding techniques, base-running, bunting, pitching, and overall knowledge of the game.

 Tremper HIgh School Softball Turf Field – 8730 22nd Ave, Kenosha, WI 53143 (Anderson 2 Turf Softball FIeld)

When: 

Monday, July 14th, 2025: 7:00pm-9:00pm (AGES 10/11/12/13/14)

Tuesday, July 15th, 2025: 12:00pm-2:00pm (AGES 10/11/12/13/14)

 *** All Players are Required to Try Out / All players Must be Registered to Try Out***

What The Captains will offer:

10u/11u/12u : $1,900

  • 9 Tournaments between Spring/Summer/Winter
  • Summer Week Day Games/Practices
  • Paid Head Coach and Their Travel Expenses
  • Facility costs (Indoor and Outdoor) *Will begin indoor practices in November and go through the month of April. Indoor practices will consist of 2x per week
  • 1x/week Winter Total Body Lifts included & Additional Optional off-season lifting package for separate cost.
  • Weekly off-season Competitions
  • Driveline Sequencing & Proper Arm Patterning Development
  • Blast motion sensors for teaching proper kinetic chain
  • Access to the Lakefront Dugout Facility seasonaly at no additional cost with membership
  • Insurance
  • Team Equipment

13u/14u : $2,000

  • 9 Tournaments between Spring/Summer/Winter

*NO REFUNDS. There are NO REFUNDS for tryouts OR any team payments at any time for any reason.

*A team uniform package will be sold separately. For returning Captains players, the same uniform from the 2025 season will be reused for the 2026 season. If additional gear is needed, all gear will be sold separately.
