“THE CAPTAINS”
“The Captains” Baseball Program is thrilled to announce their 4th annual tryout for the 2025 Spring/Summer Baseball Season! This program is lead and overseen by Miami Marlins Professional Baseball Coordinator, Nate Mikolas. Nate played for the New York Yankees for 5 seasons and now coaches for the Miami Marlins Organization. For the last 7 years, Coach Nate has served the Marlins as a hitting coach, defensive coach, base running coach, and currently serves as the lower level outfield coordinator.
The mission of the Captains is to develop youth players and provide them with professional training. We will develop quality young men that serve as leaders in our community while teaching the fundamentals of the game and having fun doing so! There will be an emphasis on educating players on the proper hitting mechanics/approaches, team fundamentals, proper fielding techniques, base-running, bunting, pitching, and overall knowledge of the game.

Tuesday, July 16th, 2024: 5:00pm-6:30pm (AGES 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U & 18U)
Wednesday, July 17th, 2024: 5:00pm-6:30pm (AGES 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U & 18U)
Thursday, July 18th, 2024: 5:00pm-6:30pm (AGES 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U & 18U)
***All players will be split into groups by age for tryouts***
*** There will be NO Accommodations Made for Separate Try Out Dates***
*** All Players are Required to Try Out ***

What The Captains will offer:

- 8 Spring/Summer Tournaments
- Summer Week Day Games/Practices
- Paid Head Coach and Their Travel Expenses
- Facility costs (Indoor and Outdoor) *Will begin indoor practices in November and go through the month of April. Indoor practices will consist of 2x per week
- 1x/week Winter Total Body Lifts included & Additional Optional off-season lifting package for separate cost.
- Weekly off-season Competitions
- Driveline Sequencing & Proper Arm Patterning Development
- Blast motion sensors for teaching proper kinetic chain
- Access to the Lakefront Dugout Facility Year-Round at no additional cost with a year-round membership
- Insurance

13u & 14u : $2,500

- 1x/week Winter Total Body Lifts included & Additional Optional off-season lifting package for separate cost.

- *NO REFUNDS. There are NO REFUNDS for tryouts OR any team payments at any time for any reason.
*For newcomers, a team uniform package will be sold separately. For returning Captains players, the white team uniform from the 2024 season will be reused for the 2025 season and a new gray jersey will be introduced and required to be purchased. If you are in need of additional gear, all team gear will be sold separately.
